First thing in the morning, last thing at night.
It started with a tube of Tom’s of Maine toothpaste.
First week’s assignment as a petrified, junior copywriter: Write the insert that goes inside the box of Tom’s of Maine toothpaste.
The insert that no one reads or cares about but probably has to be there for legal reasons.
Five rewrites later I was the proud owner of my first toothpaste insert. I was hooked, even though it didn’t win a Gold Toothy Award.
It wasn’t long before I graduated to print, television, video, radio, OOH and digital. I have worked at agencies in New York, Boston and Los Angeles on iconic brands, including Coca-Cola, Citigroup, AT&T, Time Warner Cable, General Motors, and Nabisco, to name just a few.
I’ve learned a few things along the way. Like an impossible deadline and a blank sheet of paper aren’t the enemy, it’s the UX designer that took the last K-cup who’s the real culprit.
Give me the trickiest of briefs and I will quickly get up to speed on any client in any category and turn around some minty, fresh ideas that will tell your brand’s story in a way that keeps people wanting more.
Speaking of wanting more, I’m always up for a new challenge. Try me.
Sidebar: I don’t do jargon or word clouds. Everything else is fair game. Yes, toothpaste inserts, you too.
